Baukultur Foundation

The foundation StiftungBaukultur has been thought to promote building culture, architecture and town planning, and to be a communication platform for citizens with questions about planning and building.

The foundation StiftungBaukultur was founded on December 5th 2002. The foundation is the achievement of a project initiated by the "Bundesinitiative Architektur und Baukultur", the "Länderinitiative in Thüringen", the Ministries of Finance and of the Interior, the Chamber of Architects of Thuringia, the Chamber of Engineers of Thuringia and various architecture associations. The capital of the foundation – 150.000 Euro – was put at the disposal by the Thuringian architects to ensure its financial autonomy and its normal running.
